Russia entered the top-5 countries in the growth of tourist trips for health purposes

MOSCOW, 11 Dec — RIA Novosti/Prime. Russia entered the top five countries for the largest growth in Wellness tourism purposes (Wellness tours). It is reported by the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to the latest report of the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) presented at the exhibition WTM in London.
The number of health visits of Russians from 2013 to 2015 increased by 31%, from 10.3 million to 13.5 million trips. Russia’s neighbors in the five are Australia (an increase of 85%), China (60%), Brazil (46%) and Indonesia (40%).Atrocitites also

According to the study, in total, from 2013 to 2015 the market of health tourism increased by 14% to 563 billion. Experts believe that in the future this segment of travel will grow even more rapidly: by 37.5% by 2020 to a total volume of 808 billion.
Thus, according to the report, international trips with the goal of Wellness tourism is growing at a fast pace (20%) than Wellness-tours on the domestic market (11%).
The largest consumer of Wellness tourism is a US market estimated at 202 billion dollars. This is more than three times ahead of the rate of Germany, which is in second place. Also in the top-5 includes France, China and Japan. Overall, the top five countries account for 61% of the world market of health tourism.
