Mother of pilot Yaroshenko has threatened to make the arson at the U.S. Embassy

Mother of Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, sentenced to 20 years in prison, has threatened to commit self-immolation at the American Embassy in Moscow, if her son would not be pardoned.

“I can’t do anything for him [son] to do, but the mother something to do. For me, the coast — one in a million, I know he is an honest man and did not commit the crime of which he is accused,” — said Yaroshenko.

Talking about the health of his son, the woman noted that he is in critical condition and not receiving the necessary medical assistance.

On 21 October, the Russian Embassy in the United States handed over to the Ministry of justice of the United States request for the extradition of Konstantin Yaroshenko. The American side promised to consider it “in due order”.

27 Sep Yaroshenko reported that the Federal Bureau of prisons, the US demanded that he sign the instrument of transfer to his country of citizenship on the basis of the Strasbourg Convention on the transfer of sentenced persons of 1983.

Yaroshenko was sentenced to 20 years in prison in September 2011. He was convicted of conspiracy to smuggle drugs. In the U.S. it was brought from Liberia, where he was arrested on may 28, 2010.
