The day before the deadline for submitting documents for registration of candidates on a post of the mayor of Perm was not filed a single application. On Wednesday, November 2, reports URA.ru.
The deadline for applications from potential participants expires at 16:00 on 3 November. The contest is to be held on November 21.
Candidates for mayor will have an interview and present the program “Creation in Perm of a comfortable urban environment”. The competition Commission, which included six deputies of the city Duma and the same number of representatives of the Governor, must determine the strongest candidates.
The head of the Perm city Duma will adopt, said a national news service (NSN).
The documents filed including the acting head of Perm Dmitry Samoilov. However, he claims that he will run for mayor. “Are you going to participate and do not hide it,” said he to the Agency. He is currently preparing a package of documents and expects to include a statement to the competition Commission.
In 2014, a similar scheme held a competition for the position of city Manager — when he showed up ten candidates, including well-known opposition leaders.
From 2011 to 2016 Chapter was Perm Igor Sapko. On 18 September he was elected on the party list to the state Duma on single-mandate constituency Kungur and left the position of mayor.
