The British foreign office explained the demonstration at the Embassy of the Russian Federation public concern

The official representative of the British foreign Ministry said that the foreign Ministry staff learned about the action from the police.

LONDON, 4 Nov. /Offset. TASS Igor Brovarnik/. The British foreign office explained the demonstration at the Russian Embassy in London concern the British public and rejected the assumption of the involvement of the authorities of the United Kingdom. About it the correspondent of TASS said Friday the official representative of the British foreign Minister.

According to his statement, “the UK public remains very concerned” by the actions of Russia and the government of Syria.

According to him, members of the British foreign office “learned from the police that a peaceful protest was held yesterday in front of the Russian Embassy”.

“The place was attended by members of diplomatic police, remaining in close contact with the Russian Embassy staff. No arrests were made,” — said the diplomat.

“Any assumptions about the government’s involvement in the protests are completely baseless,” — said the representative of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom.

Earlier Thursday, a small group of protesters in black t-shirts reading Save Aleppo (“save Aleppo”) blockaded the entrance to the Russian Embassy in the UK, scattered in front of him held together the hands of the mannequins.

“There was a real threat to the security of the diplomatic mission in the UK,” said the Embassy, noting that was also blocked the phone lines of overseas missions.

The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said in an interview with Ren-TV that the protest at walls of the Russian Embassy could be conducted with the knowledge of officials in London. “We’ve seen the uniforms, equipment — it all costs money. We understand, and this is all you see, all this activity of civil society and public organizations directly controlled by the officials and the government,” she said.

According to Zakharova, the demonstrators followed the scheme developed in the British foreign Ministry after the arrival of the new head of Boris Johnson, speaking recently in the British Parliament, urged the protest outside the Russian Embassy in London because of Moscow’s actions in Syria.

“This never happened before. Today we see how to prepare these actions. First, the signal from the foreign office and, perhaps, other structures, then a week or two to prepare (apparently, sending money), then the action of people who have no idea whose interests they defend and with what slogans go,” — said the diplomat.
