Pregnant or in disgrace: the media discussing the disappearance of the first lady of Korea

The wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN Lee Sol-Ju appears in public for seven months. This generates a lot of rumors. Journalists suggest that Lee Sol-Ju either pregnant or is in the doghouse, writes the Independent , citing Yonhap News.


 


The last time Lee was seen on March 28, when she accompanied her spouse on a tour of the new commercial area and a health complex in Pyongyang. Prior to this, the wife of Kim Jong-UN appeared at public events every two months.


 


Professor of Waseda University in Tokyo, Toshimitsu Shigemura, who has been studying the North Korean leadership, suggested that the first lady might be pregnant or is under constant guard due to threats from the government in Pyongyang.


 


Some sources report that the wife of Kim Jong-UN might quarrel with her younger sister of North Korean leader Kim yo-Jong, who heads the Department of propaganda and agitation.


 


In 2012, Lee Sol-Ju also did not appear in public, after the information appeared that she gave birth to a daughter.
