Key was the performance of Valentina Matvienko at the meeting of the Association of European Senates on the role of parliaments in combating terrorism in Europe. First of all she called global terrorism “the greatest danger hanging over humanity since the end of world war II”. To act against those who declared a brutal war of human civilization, we must work together, as it did at the time, the allies, but this readiness, according to Valentina Matvienko, the countries of Europe not observed. As there is still no understanding that with terrorists it is impossible to agree, and in order to win over them to push all differences to the background.

The Chairman of the Federation Council recalled that a year ago the President of Russia at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly urged to create a truly broad international coalition against terrorism.
